I am deep into the writing of a new book that is all consuming now. My research begins in Ireland in 1930 and then travels to London after the second world war. How different the world is today? How changed we are in so many ways. It is based on a true story of one
person’s extraordinary life. The research is immense, the time it is taking to write it seems endless, but I know that each day I am moving forward a little bit more and I will eventually bring this story into the light.
As December rolls in, I plan to take advantage of the dark evenings and return to the writing cave after the day is done.
In the meantime, my first historical novel Kilbride House is now available on Audible. My latest novel The Lake House at Lenashee is available in all good book shops and online.
I am lucky to live near the beach and have managed to catch many sunrises recently. They are a reminder to me that no matter what is going on in this strange world that we are in that the sun will still rise every morning.
I will leave you with this quote from Maya Angelou.
Stay safe everyone. x
‘Just like moons and like suns, With the certainty of tides, Just like hopes springing high, Still I'll rise.’ Maya Angelou
